10 Things Men Should Know In Their 30’s

All these while I’ve been learning how to be a better man, below are the summarized version of what I’ve learn during my life to be a man. Let me share with you some thoughts, so we all can grow ourselve and improve the way we see things.

1) Career Comes First
Learn to build wealth.
Please focus on your career before 30’s because a man without career is nothing.

2) Do Not Too Emphasize On Money
Do not complaint about how low is your wages or doesn’t have future. Learn as much as you can. Life is a learning journey, you will never know what opportunity is waiting for you infront if you are well prepared.

3) Learn To Tolerate Your Parents
They might be nagging you day and night; this is all because in their eyes you are still their baby. Now they are getting old, all you need to make them happy is perhaps a call from you or a small gift to show how you care about them. It’s simple

4) Get to Know True Friends
Friends can make a big influence in your life. Know lesser Hi-Bye friends; get at least a true friend that will be there for you when you are in need. If you met anyone like that, appreciate them, you might be surprise what they can help out in the future. No matter they are rich or less-rich now.

5) Do Not Put Too Much Expectation In Love Relationship
You heart must always fill in love, but do not expect all promises will last forever; responsible is much important. Follow your heart but if things doesn’t go well, learn to let go.

6) Do Not Worry If You Are Still Have Not Found Any Love
Love is not about quantity but quality. Do not worry if you are still yet to get a girlfriend before 30’s. You will have lot’s of chances to met great women in your life time. Man will not depreciate when get more mature. A mature love relationship will always last longer. Don’t court every girls that passed you by like a mad dog. Learn how to enjoy when you are alone.

7) Do Not Obsess In Any Entertainment
Too much of entertainment will drain your energy and spoiled your future. Try to segregate time for your hobbies and not to affect your life goal.

8 ) Do Not Give Up When You Have Failed
You did not fail; you have just successfully discovered a way that doesn’t work well. Everyone learn from failure. Don’t give up and try again with a better way until you success.

9) Be Responsible
People respect a man who holds his words. Great power comes with great responsibility; if you want to be a great man, you have to take ownership and learn how to build trust and respect from people by being responsible.

10) Keep The Little Child In Your Heart
Burrow deep inside your heart; please keep a little space for your pure heart. I am not asking you to be childish, but sometimes you will feel happier if you makes things simpler. Try not to be too calculative and comparative. Life is not fair anyway.

Chinese New Year Eve’s Dinner

Chinese New Year Eve’s Dinner is the Family Gathering day for all Chinese. During the dinner we eat, talk and laugh… Well, basically just once a year we gather to check whether everyone still are in good shape. :P

Okay, everyone are in good shape, let’s eat and call it a day :D

Visit My Grandpa While The Way To Ipoh

Today is Saturday and it’s quite special, because majority of the Chinese society will going back hometown today to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year and will definitely cause and traffic jam in the highway.

I am like the rest which is going back to hometown today, my hometown is in Ipoh. Yes, I am “Ipoh Mali”. However I’ve been raised in KL. I’ve do this without fail every CNY since the day I born. We choose to start our journey around 10 a.m. in the morning. The traffic was started to build up around 11 a.m. I was quite unease because this is the first time we need to fasten the seat belt at the back seats for this long journey. Luckily I was sitting in front which makes no difference :P.

When we reach Tapah, we went to visit my grandpa which passed away since 1998. He used to stay with me in KL for some times when I was young. Miss him so much, he used to send me to kindergarten and bring me home when I was young and always ask me whether I fought in school everyday when I back from primary school. Later years I’ve been always play Chinese chess with him when I back to Ipoh. Haha really had a great moment with him.

We got him some candles and foods he likes and burn some money for him to use during Chinese New Year. Manage to take some photo in case next time I need to visit so that’s I can remember where is his place. Filial piety is one of the values in Chinese culture to show respect to our ancestor which we seldom heard of it among westerner.

Something I Will Never Get

Today my heart is broken… feeling like a dead man.

Have you ever heard about the best things in life are the things that you will never get? All these while I’ve been waiting for something that will never happen, empty promises, false hopes. Much like a scar have been repeatly damage and cure, damage again until one day the skin is dead and can’t feel no pain anymore.

Most of people nowdays thinks I am heartless, cruel, a machine and a loner. Yea, their statements are very true. I did it on purpose to make myself feeling better. I’d promised myself not to feel sad on any miserable things that gonna happen to me. I almost lost the feeling of Happiness and Sadness. Yes, I am living like a deadskin without feelings.

However, today I suddenly feel the pain agian. Damn, probally this time the cut is too deep into the deadskin. The feeling of hopeless, like in the middle of the deep blue ocean and sinking. Ouch…

Need some times to recover. *sniff

My Maxis Broadband

I’m a kinda old school person when comes to online experiences. Why? When the whole world is complaining about how slow is their Streamyx broadband speed etc. I’m still living at least 10 year behind the technology. Can you believe that all the while I am using my 56K modem connection to go online?! I believe the dial-up modem should’ve been forgotten long long time ago and even many teenagers today had never seen one in their life!!

56K modem? I though this thing suppose to be in the Muzeum

56K Modem? I Thought This Thing Is Suppose To Be In The Muzeum

Whenever people talk about Youtube, Bittorrent and stuffs… I was like "what the heck? it’s nothing to do with me". I think nobody knows how much I’ve suffered for the past 10 years and I’ve actually got immune or numb on it. All thanks to Streamyx broadband, I’ve been applying it like every 2 years to find out whether Streamyx has covered my housing area , but for so many years their reply to me was always the same "Sorry, yet to cover your area. Please wait". What the hell is going on? I am living in Klang Valley for god’s sake! They are telling me that no Streamyx for 10 years until now?? and the big boys out there are talking about MSC, Cyberjaya, WiMax bla bla bla…. talk to my hand.
Now it’s over till last week I’ve subscribed the maxis broadband :) because I heard it covers my area (phew~~). Finally, I am able live my life without being discriminated. I’ve subscribe the Power Mobile package which comes together with a biscuit size modem (okay, I am from stoneage).

What? Its A Modem? I thought Its A Biscuit

What? It's A Modem? I Thought It's A Biscuit

It claimed that the maximum speed is up to 3.6Mbps and demand I pay RM100 deposits and monthly RM118 for their claims. Wow! 3.6Mbps?? it’s like 60 fold of my dial-up connection! Sounds extremely interesting to me. I went home quickly to try out my precious!

I Still Cant Believe Its A Modem

I Still Can't Believe It's A Modem

But this is what I got….

Shit...

Shit...105Kbs Out Of 3.6 Mbps? I'm More Than Generous To Rate It One Star!

Dang… can’t be complaining too much, after all it’s still better than what I used to had…

Israel And Palestine Conflicts, Fight Until Judgement Day?

When I was making wishes on “World Peace” during Christmas, my birthday and New Year; ironically at the same time there are some bombardment happening at the other side of the world.

The war between Israel and Palestine had been fighting for decades and for decades they yet to find out solutions on how are they going to stop the fight and start to hugs and kisses each other. I believe everyone just need a shelter to stay and the Jews had been homeless for thousands years. Why can’t we just let them live peacefully?

I just failed to understand why Hamas greeted Israel “Merry Christmas” by launching fireworks to them and when Israel replied with grand hampers, Hamas hides behind the women and kids.Hope next time we will learn the lesson and play fireworks only in your own territory, one mistake and make your neighbour pissed off. We will get whack left side right and bring troubles to our family.

I learned that insurance does not cover self-provoke injury. Why want to provoke anyone to fight with you? If you win, you are a big bully; and when you lose, you were just a plain moron. It’s just no meaning.

Please stop the war and do something constructive will ya?

Never Bite The Hand Who Feeds You

You will have a different role when you relate to different person. You can be a Giver, Taker  or sometimes both. When we were young, we are always a Taker  because we always take advise and neccesity supports from parents due to lack of ability or knowledge. When we grow up as we learn along the way, we become Giver to the weaker ones. The social interactive are always Give and Take.

Know your role and you can help you to improve social point.

If you do find that you’re comfortable being the Giver , be sure that your needs are being met and that you are appreciated for all you do, otherwise, you might experience resentment down the line. The Givers benefits are able to gain power, and respect by sharing your resources.

If you happen to be the Taker , be sure to let the Givers  know how much you appreciate everything they do. The benefits of a Taker   is to enjoy with less effort, but the drawback are giving their power. Thus, one should never bite the hand who feeds you unless you’re independent, or else you will be suffering from everything taken back by the Givers .

Personally, I will never forgive any Taker   that bites my hand while I am giving. I will not only take back everything but also will make sure they wish they’d never born

Team Building In Port Dickson

Once awhile hangout with fellow colleagues is cool and can give us an opportunity to know each other better personally and build a closer bond. Because this is the time when we can forget about the hierarchy in the workplace and join together to have fun.

Our team building destination is Port Dickson. This place is a famous beach site for people in KL, simply because this is the nearest beach to KL we can find. Once upon a time, this place was very happening and I still remember in my primary school time, the popular topic for journal about holidays was “Family Trip to Port Dickson” until the teacher was so sick and stop us for writing anything about Port Dickson.

The last time I been to Port Dickson was New Year Eve in couples of years back with my high school gang. We went there for beach site barbeque and got drunk then slept inside the car until the next morning. This time is much better because we have accommodations. We reached there around 4 p.m. and we have some tele-match to foster team works…(pictures yet to be upload)

At night, we went for beach site barbeque. Plenty of food they bought and made me drool. i.e. chicken wings, sausages, bacons, hams, lamp chops, squids, fishes and marsh mellows too; and alcohols all night long :) what a perfect combination.

Happy New Year 2009

Good morning 2009, I thought I would be spending my new year eve in a quiet and peaceful way; but instead I went to Club Quattro with my friends for the countdown event.  Forget about the sunrise prayer, I want fireworks!! I think this should be more appropriate :)

I didn’t countdown my new year eve in KL for some years, due to traffic jam and stuffs, but surprisingly this year I didn’t find much traffic jam despite they set some road blocks. Probally there lots of happening places emmerged in Klang Valley and the crowd used to focus in KL were absorbed by Mid Valley, Damansara Utama and Sunway in the passed few years.

I didn’t manage to drink alot cause it was kinda boring but at least when the clock ticked 12 a.m, the fireworks started and it was awesome!!
